HUBER+SUHNER to present latest developments for next-generation data center connectivity at Cisco Live 2019

(firmenpresse) - As connected devices are set to increase exponentially in the near future, operators must deploy future-proof fiber management systems and technologies to keep up with connectivity and bandwidth demands. Data centers need to deploy more fiber, manage fiber more efficiently and make more connections in limited spaces.

A modular approach to fiber management
High packing density, modularity and a clear physical demarcation point are the outstanding features of the new cross-connect fiber management system LISA Double Access, which HUBER+SUHNER will be presenting for the first time at Cisco Live 2019. The system is efficient, reliable and easy to manage, minimising potential damage to delicate fiber cabling.

By separating incoming and outgoing connectivity, the LISA Double Access manages and protects a maximum density of 3600 ports per rack. The system allows a universal patch cord length of 3.5 meters within a new 1500 mm rack, saving customers valuable floor space of up to 17 %.

Building blocks for the future-ready data center
On display alongside the LISA Double Access will be the second-generation IANOS® system. Providing operators with the basic and essential building blocks for the future-ready data center, IANOS can be tailored to each user with a pay-as-you-grow approach.

IANOS enables the use of flexible and future-proof pre-terminated cable systems with Base-2 up to Base-24 connectivity for best-in-class density and scalability as well as for easy and fast installation.





Data rates from 1G to 400G can be achieved and seamlessly integrated to provide ultimate flexibility for the operator.

Maximising technology
HUBER+SUHNER fiber management systems can also integrate the industry-leading Polatis technology. The high-capacity optical switching eliminates the need for time-consuming and costly manual intervention.

The latest wavelength division multiplexing technology from Cube Optics can also be deployed within LISA, IANOS and other HUBER+SUHNER fiber management systems to further reduce the quantity of fiber cabling and maximise the efficiency of current fiber count.
