Keep Track Of Mike McKinney’s Progress On Wasatch Mountains Chuting Project
Park City People announced that their co-founder Mike McKinney will attempt to ski every chute listed in “The Chuting Gallery†by Andrew McLean. If he succeeds, he will become a professional backcountry ski mountaineer.

Andrew McLeans guide book is a checklist of 92 of the steepest, narrowest and most difficult ski lines in the Wasatch. The project was started by Luke Heinz who attempted to ski all 92 chutes in just one season. Although he was not able to ski all 92 lines in just one winter, his project still continues.
Now Mike McKinney will attempt to complete the project. By completing the project, Mike will be able to become one of few backcountry skiers to complete the project.
In order to be successful, Mike will have to overcome a wide range of challenges such as fear, mother nature, and the social norm of working a 9-5 job. The co-founder of Park City People will have to prove his courage and physical abilities in this very challenging chuting project. But if he succeeds and completes the project, he will also help Park City People secure its future in the ski industry.
In his book, Andrew McLean states, "In the realm of skiing, chute skiing is an obscure and misunderstood discipline. While huge powder fields are always appetizing, there is something perversely appealing about a long, steep rock lined couloir. It''s like skiing down the barrel of a giant gun -- some people just don''t see the appeal. The only way to know if you are going to like it is to try it.
