Originally from Southern California, Stephen Openshaw, Ph.D. received his Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University in Indiana. On internship he helped military veterans with spinal cord injuries and other serious injuries requiring rehabilitation. He also focused on working with couples, and received extensive training in couples therapy. He worked with one of the founders of the UCLA Human Sexuality Program, at the Institute for Sex and Marital Therapy, learning to help couples with their intimate difficulties.
Dr. Openshaw lives happily in Hawai''i and continues to support the armed forces as a Clinical Health Psychologist at Tripler Army Medical Center, working with their oncology programs.
