A new, free Reading to Dogs event has been announced by Let’s Get Booking, aimed at helping kids with learning disabilities to improve their reading and speaking skills. It gives them a friendly, non judgemental place to speak freely.
(firmenpresse) - Lets Get Booking, the company established to help dyslexics build their confidence by engaging with events in friendly situations, has announced the launch of a Read To Dogs event at Petco. Interested parties will be able to attend in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, from 10:30am through to 13:30.

Advance registration is required for the event, with interested parties able to book online through the button provided on site. The aim of the event is to encourage kids to build confidence and develop reading skills.
Reading to dogs helps children to build their confidence by reading in a stress free, non judgemental environment. Dogs are renowned for their endless love and affection, and reading aloud is important for anyone who struggles with reading.

Lets Get Booking was set up by Shane Herman and Nestor Flores, two children who have struggled with learning disabilities themselves over the years. They know firsthand how having a learning disability can make school much more difficult, while affecting confidence.
It can also have a big impact on the childs family, with parents spending money and time on trying to get their children the help they need.
The team states: Many kids start to have problems reading at a very early age, when they first start school and even before. Their struggles often continue their whole lives and become the reason why they develop low self confidence.
Lets Get Booking was formed to provide free help to families regardless of where they live or their financial situation. The community service based platform provides people struggling with dyslexia and other learning disabilities with an opportunity to spend time reading or practicing their speaking.
