PITS 2018: Secucloud participates in trade congress on IT and cybersecurity for the state and public administration
German security specialist will present innovative solution concept to the public sector
(firmenpresse) - Hamburg, Germany. 10 September 2018 - Trust is the foundation to the e-government of the future. However, delivering public administration services can only be effective with secure communication between the authorities themselves and between authorities, businesses and citizens. The German PITS congress (short for public IT security) focuses on this topic from the perspective of the public sector. National IT managers and those on county and town levels as well as professionals from the armed forces, the police force, intelligence services and NATO will be at the event to meet scientists and IT security providers. They will be able to discuss the latest technologies along with opportunities and risks for their profession. The German security specialist Secucloud will be participating as a conference partner for the first time at the event, which takes place on 10 and 11 September at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin. By engaging with the conference, the company plans to raise awareness in the public sector about the benefits of a cloud-based approach to security.
The vulnerability of digital infrastructures is demonstrated by the frequent announcements of security incidents as well as by studies. For example, Germany''s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) recently found that just under 70 per cent of German companies and institutions had been victims of hacker attacks within the last two years - and almost half of them were successful.
