According to the artist, the painting was inspired by an incident occurring in the mountains of Utah. An owl landed next to him while the artist was meditating on a family property called Buena Vista.
To show his appreciation to the local community, who helped him recover after the brain injury and supported him in his art career, Ryan will donate half of the proceeds to an Utah non-profit.
Buena Vista Owl is part of a larger collection featuring Ryans unique works. The pieces are inspired by visions Ryan began to experience after suffering from traumatic brain injury, capturing original combinations of natural and abstract elements in vivid, dynamic colors.
The artist uses oil, acrylic and Pastel prisma colors to create his original paintings, experimenting with a wide range of techniques to create beautiful artworks which make a lasting impression on both owner and viewers.
Other available paintings include Sun Lion, Sun Bull, Raise, Harmony Elephant and various others.
