Lahmeyer International has been a member of the Alliance for Cyber Security since the end of 2017.
(firmenpresse) - The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) established this initiative in cooperation with the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM). The mission of the Alliance, which draws together all the key players involved in cyber security in Germany, is to provide current and meaningful information for users about dangers in cyberspace. The Alliance now has over 2547 member institutions, of which 90 are partner companies and 46 are multipliers.
Cybercrime is an increasing threat to critical infrastructure
Cyber security as an issue now affects more than just the information technology segment. Operative technologies and industrial control systems are now increasingly the target of attacks. Older systems used for so-called critical infrastructures are being targeted in particular, such as power stations, grid operators in the power transmission sector and hospitals. Better security against cybercrime in these cases can be achieved by introducing a sustainable Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) in accordance with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.
