Experts for mobile data collection give the all clear for their handheld terminals.
Fundamental processor flaws named Meltdown and Spectre revealed. / DENSO, part of the Toyota group and inventor of the QR Code, examined all their handhelds. / Popular BHT series by the experts for mobile data collection are not affected by the security flaws. / No DENSO handheld terminal is equipped with affected CPUs. / Further information on the secure handheld terminals, scanners, mobile data collection, powerful devices with RFID or NFC, the QR Code, and the DENSO Auto-ID Business Unit are available at https://www.denso-autoid-eu.com/en.html./
(firmenpresse) - De data collection. As a result, contents such as passwords, login data, and other sensitive information are at risk to be stolen.
Due to the current situation, DENSO, part of the Toyota group and inventor of the QR Code, has examined extensively all handheld terminals in their popular BHT series
Sina Haupt, Marketing Assistant of the DENSO Auto-ID Business Unit, says: ttps://www.denso-autoid-eu.com/en.html.
The important contrast: out-of-order-execution and in-order-execution
The security flaws of the processors allow access to the memory, as can be found in modern handheld terminals, too. This, in turn, gives room to more than a dozen possible attacks, according to the security researchers.
The basic requirement to use the security flaws is the so-called out-of-order execution: In this process, the CPU does not necessarily follow commands as intended by the program code, but automatically optimizes the operations when carried out. That way, some commands can be executed at the same time, and the performance speed can be increased.
In contrast to out-of-order execution, there is in-order execution, in which the commands are strictly implemented according to the program protocol. It is precisely this contrast that makes the DENSO data collection devices secure: They all work with in-order execution. This means, the core features that make it possible to exploit the security flaws of the processors are not even built into the handhelds of the mobile data collection experts from DENSO. Further information on the secure handheld terminals, scanners, solutions for mobile data collection, the QR Code, innovative devices with RFID or NFC, and the DENSO Auto-ID Business Unit can be found at https://www.denso-autoid-eu.com/en.html.
Reliable CPUs to meet the high demands of the customers
ta collection device must not only be state-of-the-art but also stable and durable.
