Symeo at the China Hi-Tech Fair 2017: Innovative LPR® radar technology provides safe operation processes and optimal protection for crane systems
Neubiberg (Germany), November 10, 2017 – Radar specialist Symeo GmbH will exhibit at the China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen from November 16 to November 21 in hall 1, booth 1A91-9. The focus will be on Symeo's patented LPR® radar technology, which provides optimal crane system safety and high efficiency for operational and transport processes. As an innovative provider of precise positioning and reliable anti-collision solutions, Symeo sold a series of sensor units last year to one of China's largest steel manufacturers for the use in a large-scale automation project.
(firmenpresse) - Increased safety, more efficiency and higher availability: Symeo''s wireless sensor systems are deployed wherever real-time localization of cranes and industrial vehicles, seamless movement tracking and timely detection of potential collisions are required. Using contactless wireless measurements, the radar-based systems continuously tracks crane and vehicle positions in order to optimize logistics, transport and production processes. The positioning and distance measurement sensors from Symeo are based on a proprietary local positioning radar technology that does not interfere with existing WiFi networks. The technology is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and works extremely robust and maintenance-free.
Large-scale automation project in China using Symeo LPR®-1DHP radar sensors
Last year Symeo carried out an automation project for one of China''s largest iron and steel companies. The project involved the installation of 52 LPR®-1DHP sensor units in a steel works for the real-time positioning of cranes, complete tracking of the crane movements and to protect the crane systems against collisions. Because of their high availability, the wear-and-tear-free radar systems are frequently installed in demanding industrial work environments with a high degree of dust, dirt and vibrations – such as in the metal and steel industry, in the mining sector, for bulk material handling processes and for container terminal operations. In addition, Symeo´s wireless sensors are impervious to extreme weather conditions such as heat, direct sunlight and rain.

The China Hi-Tech Fair, with its focus on state-of-the-art technologies, has been held each year since 1999 and is one of the most influential trade fairs in China.
