Logicalis acquires Packet Systems Indonesia to Grow Customer Base and Strengthen Indonesian Operations
London, 20 June, 2017 – Logicalis, an international IT solutions and managed services provider, together with Metrodata, a dominant ICT company in Indonesia, today announced it has agreed to acquire Packet Systems Indonesia (PSI), a leading ICT systems integrator and services company.
(firmenpresse) - London, 20 June, 2017 – Logicalis, an international IT solutions and managed services provider, together with Metrodata, a dominant ICT company in Indonesia, today announced it has agreed to acquire Packet Systems Indonesia (PSI), a leading ICT systems integrator and services company.
PSI is a Cisco Gold Partner specialising in data centre, collaboration, Service Provider & Enterprise Network, and information security solutions. PSI will be integrated with the existing Indonesian operation, Logicalis Metrodata Indonesia (LMI), (a joint venture between Logicalis and Metrodata). Logicalis will be the largest shareholder of this newly formed company.
Established in 2004, PSI has built a strong business in the telecommunications (telco) sector (the telco sector in Indonesia is the fourth largest in the world) and the ICT market in Indonesia is continuing to show strong growth. The acquisition provides an opportunity for Logicalis to leverage these telco skills and experience in other Logicalis locations across the region, as well as bring its own portfolio of digital solutions and services to existing and new customers, in both the telco and enterprise markets, such as Internet of Things, software defined technologies and data analytics.
Logicalis has also established a Managed Security Services practice in the Asia Pacific region, based out of Singapore, which will bring new service offerings to customers in Indonesia. The combined company brings Logicalis’ strong track record in the region, technical capability and expanded vertical expertise to PSI.

The new company will become a full-fledged end-to-end ICT solutions provider that offers services ranging from IT consulting to design and implementation and lifecycle management, supported by Logicalis’ full Managed Services expertise.”
The enlarged business will be managed by Handy Surya Wirawan, currently President Director of PSI. He will be responsible for taking the group to the next level. In this capacity, Handy will report to James Tay, CEO of Logicalis Asia.
