Lottery Everywhere opens a huge number of buying options for players, allowing them to play everywhere they shop, be that in a physical retail outlet at any point of sale within the store, or via E-commerce and M-commerce. The fast, secure and reliable system enables lotteries to interact with players anywhere and everywhere, establishing a presence in people’s existing shopping behaviour and utilising existing retail systems and processes.
Enabling this number of buying options to players gives lotteries the opportunity to grow sales both to existing players who value the convenience of playing without having to queue separately at a dedicated lottery terminal, as well as attracting new players and re-engaging with lapsed or occasional players.
Lottery Everywhere enables consumers to play at every checkout they visit and also opens opportunities for innovative and engaging new games and content. As customers process their shopping through multilane they can either select a printed game card from the aisle rack, the cashier offers them a game via a hot button on the till or they can play via a button on a self-service till. The consumer selects the game to play, which can be the traditional weekly draw ticket, a new game with an instant win, an instant cash prize, a voucher or a promotion, or one of Abacus’ new games such as Bill Paid.
For printing lottery tickets, Abacus has selected the versatile TSP700II from Star, a printer that combines high speed with superior functionality. Capable of printing at 250mm/second and with its large 100mm diameter paper roll capacity, the TSP700II offers up to 60% more paper than a standard 80mm roll, ideal for lottery applications while saving time and reducing paper costs.
