Rachel Harvey Hill is a professional singer and songwriter based in Valdosta, Georgia. Her musical career includes a collaboration with Operation Encore: A Veteran Music Project, with which she released a selection of songs, as well as a solo album called Songs by Rachel Harvey Hill Vol. 1.
To explore new means of artistic expression and to connect with the local community, Rachel Harvey Hill has announced her intention to focus on solo performances in the near future, looking for clubs and other partners for solo music performances.
Though mainly guitar-driven, her music is an original mixture of feelings and experiences, and her songwriting embraces a variety of themes. From childhood memories to her experiences as a military wife, Rachel Harvey Hill strives to create original music blending humor, melancholy and genuineness.
As a military wife and daughter of a coal miner, her music is heavily inspired by her everyday experiences with her family and friends. The wide variety of themes and the uniqueness of her sound has led to her being recognized among the Ones to Watch by the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
While solo performances will be her main focus, Rachel Harvey Hill will also continue her songwriting and recording project. She is currently working on a children-themed album to be released this Fall, featuring a collection of diverse songs celebrating childhood in her unique and melodic style.
To celebrate April, the Month of the Military Children, Rachel Harvey Hill has recently released Little Dandelion, a tribute to military children throughout the world.
As a side project, Rachel Harvey Hill is also working on an illustrated lyric book featuring a wide range of childrens songs.
