(PresseBox) - In order to obtain the perfect and correct fit and a tight finish in the additive production of crown edges, fitting areas, clamps, implant connections or occlusal surfaces made of cobalt chrome or titanium, surface roughness of laser melted components often require a post-machining by a high-precision milling machine.

At this year''s IDS in Cologne, DATRON AG, with its compact DATRON C5 machine system, not only provides industrial degrees of freedom for milling centers, but also, together with its cooperation partners Concept Laser (Hall 10.1, booth B034) and Follow-Me! (Hall 3.1, booth J010), convinces visitors of the advantages of hybrid production. The combination of the two independent technologies allows automated machining for highly aesthetic processing results. After the additive production, the workpiece is positioned in the DATRON C5 or DATRON D5 via a special calibration procedure and is fit for use immediately. After the subtractive processing the components convince with a low surface roughness and highest precision.
The powerful DATRON dental machine systems are characterized by their adaptability for individual and diverse processing requirements and are therefore ideally suited for the hybrid production process. High-quality accessories and software solutions add to the excellent post-processing results of additive components.
