National Exempt Market Association Names New President
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/30/16 -- The Board of Directors of the National Exempt Market Association (NEMA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Cora Pettipas, DBA (ABD), CFP, CIM, FCSI to President of the organization. Cora has been with NEMA for over four years, during which time she has served as Vice President and Director, helping increase and improve both the association''s growth and reputation, while proving herself as a committed industry advocate.
With 15 years of industry experience, Cora has been instrumental in countless NEMA initiatives including development of investor educational tools, the launch of the quarterly publication the Exempt Edge, and numerous regulatory advocacy campaigns, resulting in changes such as adoption of the Offering Memorandum exemption in Ontario.
Previously, Cora had tenures with several financial institutions in the capacity of financial advisor, wealth management, investor services, retail banking, and financial planning. Her most recent position prior to joining NEMA was as a Professor at Mount Royal University, where she taught Finance and Financial Planning.
