The image is part of the larger series, ! which combines the high explosive potential of a hand grenade fuse with the basic food staples of our diet to illustrate humanity''s interference with nature. From processed fruits and foods to industrialized meat and fish, each image features hyper-idealized subjects with obsessive commercial perfection, punctured by Man''s ability to blow it all up, says Matt McKee.

Artist Biography
Matt McKee has been practicing his discipline as a for over 20 years. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, his photos and photo illustrations have been collected worldwide. He has created images for leading edge companies such as Bank of America, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Fresenius Medical Care, Siemens and Waters Inc. McKee''s has been on display in the Danforth Museum, Fountain Street Art Galleries, and The Griffin Museum of Photography.
