Net sales for the three-month period ended August 31, 2016 were $41,111,000 compared to $47,160,000 for the three-month period ended August 31, 2015. The Company reported net earnings totaling $557,000, or $.25 per diluted share, for the quarter ended August 31, 2016. This compares to net earnings for last year''s second quarter ended August 31, 2015 of $660,000, or $.29 per diluted share.
Net sales for the six-month period ended August 31, 2016 were $71,589,000 compared to $80,436,000 for the same period last year. Net loss for the six-month period ended August 31, 2016 was $413,000, or $.19 per diluted share. For the comparable six-month period in the prior year, the Company reported a net loss of $87,000, or $.04 per diluted share.
