In the profile, Babcock shares how his life experiences prepared him for being the dogged legal advocate he is today -- beginning with having to overcome intense bullying during his elementary and early adolescent years.
Fortunately, in the early fourth grade Babcock made friends with a boy named Eddie O., who stood between him and the bullies one day after school. "I remember then and there deciding that I wanted to be the one standing up to the bullies," said Babcock. "I wanted to be somebody''s Eddie."
After joining the U.S. Marine Corp, where he learned a lot about himself and the person he wanted to be, Babcock found himself working for a defense firm specializing in workers'' compensation cases.
"I also quickly learned that I was standing with the bullies," said Babcock. "After almost five years of defense work I decided I had had enough."
In 2007, Babcock broke free and started his own law firm: The Babcock Law Firm.
