Dumbell joins the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel with 16 years of Marriott leadership experience. Previously, he served as General Manager of the Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, where he was honored with the 2016 General Manager of the Year Award by Marriott International, Asia Pacific. He has also held General Manager roles with the Renaissance Kiev Hotel, Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel and Country Club and Northampton Marriott Hotel, among other leadership positions.
A true multi-cultural global citizen born in Brunei to Mauritian and British parents, Dumbell spent his youth as an expat in five different Asian countries, attended secondary school in the United Kingdom and earned a bachelor''s degree in the United States at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Fueled by his continued thirst for learning, he attended a Corporate Management Development course at the esteemed Ecole Hôtelière in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he developed a keen interest in using psychometric profiling to develop team effectiveness.
