Houston Police Federal Credit Union Coordinates ''Back the Blue'' Day
Calls for Public Support of Law Enforcement
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 08/22/16 -- Over 200 Houston Police Officers participated in Houston Police Federal Credit Union''s ''Back the Blue'' Day, a campaign dedicated to encouraging public support for law enforcement. Houston Police Federal Credit Union has proudly served the Houston Police Department since 1937.
The event comes amidst tension in Houston and other major cities that has added to the day-to-day stress police officers deal with.
"We are proud to celebrate the brave police officers who don''t think twice about risking their lives to protect and preserve our freedoms," said Ayn Talley, President with Houston Police Federal Credit Union, a non-profit organization that manages the financial resources of active and retired Houston Police Officers, Houston Police Department Civilian Employees and their families. "Back the Blue Day is a small way to show our appreciation and thank Houston Police Officers for the job that they do, understanding that their dedication can take a toll on their lives and the lives of their families."
