Collaboration Will Help VARs Speed Time to Market for Converged Infrastructure Installations

, a software application that automates the configuration of converged infrastructure (CI) systems, will help Arrow''s NetApp resellers simplify the configuration and installation of FlexPod systems for mid-market and enterprise customers. Arrow Electronics, which works with approximately 300 NetApp resellers, will offer SDI Install within its Flex with Arrow program for CI solutions and services. Arrow will also use SDI Install to speed the process of pre-configuring CI solutions for partners.
Converged infrastructure solutions combine the core data center components of servers, storage and networking to simplify IT infrastructure management and speed application deployment. In 2015, worldwide converged systems market revenue increased 8.3% over 2014, to $10.6 billion, .
FlexPod is a leading CI system, yet because of its wide array of configuration options, it can require specialized IT skills for both architecture and hardware installation. StrataCloud SDI Install gives resellers a single interface for FlexPod design and deployment. A decision tree guides the architect through the design process and creates a blueprint for installation, which the software applies to the system automatically. The blueprint can be reused to launch unlimited future installations, providing a repeatable process and eliminating manual configuration. SDI Install has been shown to reduce FlexPod configuration time from more than 70 hours to 60 minutes.
