Engaging hundreds of thousands of fans, artists and humanitarians in support of the global , Playing For Change Day will unite communities through musical arts while raising awareness and resources for educational programs worldwide. Proceeds from the event directly support ''s free music education programs, providing children around the world the opportunity to develop creative skills and discover personal expression through the arts.
The event builds on the success of Playing For Change Day 2015, which drew thousands of volunteers organizing more than 300 synchronized events in 52 countries on six continents. "People in every corner of the world will be able to participate in this memorable day by hosting, attending or performing at an event on September 24," said John McKenna, Executive Director of Playing For Change Foundation. "Playing For Change Day is the moment for the human race to unite in song, and invest in our children across the planet."

The Playing For Change Movement has since attracted hundreds of global artists including , in addition to street musicians from 47 countries who have participated in PFC video recordings.
