Cloud Data Warehousing Leader Appoints Denise Persson Chief Marketing Officer; Adds Altimeter Capital's Kevin Wang to Board of Directors
(firmenpresse) - SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/14/16 -- , the cloud data warehousing company, today announced Denise Persson as chief marketing officer (CMO) to lead corporate marketing strategy and support the company''s rapid growth and expansion. With Persson, Snowflake completes a seasoned , which consists of leadership experience from EMC, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Teradata and Vectorwise.
Persson brings more than 20 years of technology marketing experience at high-growth companies, helping lead through growth and IPO. Most recently she was CMO at Apigee, an API platform company that went public in 2015. Previously, Persson served as CMO at ON24, a SaaS webcasting and virtual communications company, and was EVP of global marketing at Genesys, a publicly traded collaboration software company, where she built, led and managed marketing teams in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Previously, Wang was a venture capitalist at General Catalyst Partners and Longworth Venture Partners.
