InstallAward of the category ENTERTAINMENT given to eyevis
Gigantic LED wall at the new DRIVE / Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin convinces the jury
(PresseBox) - On June 24, the InstallAwards 2016 award ceremony was held in London. The expert magazine Installation of the English publisher Newbay Media is now in its third year of honouring outstanding pro-AV projects of the preceding 12 months, as well as the people who made them happen. In the category ENTERTAINMENT, the award for Best Entertainment Venue Project was given to eyevis for an installation at the DRIVE. Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin.
The award was more specifically given for the implementation of a large LED video wall of 45 square meters, the pivotal element of the video technology and a true eye catcher for all visitors. The monumental eyevis LED wall comprises 30 × 8 eyeLED modules with a total size of 15 × 3 meters. The single modules, each 480 × 360 mm fit together smoothly and homogenously, thus producing the wall''s impressive total resolution of 5760 × 1152 pixels. The resulting unique image sharpness combined with the uniform depiction of brightness and colours, which eyevis achieves through factory calibration and a variety of adjustable parameters, convinced the jury and further tipped the scales towards the decision to give the award to this project by eyevis.
"We are very proud of this award and are happy to have received this kind of appreciation, notably for one of our new trending product category: LED technology," comments Reiner Lutz, who is responsible for eyevis'' distribution in the DACH region.
The building project for the DRIVE. Volkswagen Group Forum was initiated by Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH, the architectural office Professor Christoph Mäckler Architekten was responsible for its implementation. The audiovisual solutions were planned by macom, Stuttgart-based specialists for modern communication solutions. Amptown System Company won a restricted tender for the permanent instalment of light, audio, video, projection and controlling equipment in the exhibition and conference areas. They then assigned the implementation of the large LED wall to eyevis, a trusted and reliable partner.
