This latest impressive casting in the Kickboxer franchise solidifies its prowess as a star-studded action event, considering the recent cast announcements of soccer sensation , legendary boxer , and UFC stars & . Not to mention the film''s villain -- and Brian Shaw''s biggest competition at "" -- . Altogether, Kickboxer: Retaliation will feature 14+ renowned world champion athletes.
Penned as a trilogy, Kickboxer: Retaliation is the sequel to , the latter starring newcomer , , and superstars and . Both films are written by , who also is directing the second installment.
Upping the storyline where Kickboxer: Vengeance will leave off, the sequel brings Kurt Sloan (Moussi) back to Thailand to fight against a formidable foe, portrayed by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson -- who also plays "the Mountain" on HBO''s Game of Thrones.
