Social Venture Partners (SVP) Fast Pitch 2016 Opens Applications
Program Supports a Full Spectrum of Social Impact Organizations and Innovators
(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/02/16 -- Social Venture Partners (SVP) invites social impact innovators across the Greater Puget Sound region to compete for funding and capacity building support in its sixth annual SVP Fast Pitch Seattle program. The five-track competition -- high school, college, established nonprofits, early-stage nonprofits, and for-profit social enterprises -- open to applicants on Thursday, June 2, 2016. The SVP Fast Pitch program will guide applicants through a three-month intensive coaching and mentoring process culminating in a final showcase event before an audience of nearly 1,000 on October 25, 2016 at McCaw Hall. Since it began in 2011, SVP Fast Pitch has connected local change makers with over $2 million in grants, investments, prizes and has helped hundreds of social innovators build and strengthen their social change organizations.
SVP Fast Pitch connects social innovators and entrepreneurs with leaders from the local business, philanthropic, government, nonprofit and social impact investing sectors who want to help amplify their impact. Over the three-month program, innovators hone their business model concepts and messaging through workshops, pitch clinics, networking events and mentoring. At the same time, they build relationships with advisors, donors, investors and partners. The program culminates in an inspiring pitch competition and Final Showdown at McCaw Hall before a panel of celebrity judges and nearly 1,000 audience members.

Last year''s winners included , a low-cost water purity testing app developed by a high school student, and , an organization connecting women facing barriers to employment with sustainable employment opportunities.
