Hartmut Lackner Takes Over as Manager of MES Test Center as of April 1, 2016.
(firmenpresse) - May 30, 2016, Berlin (Germany): MES Test Center is one of the three pillars of Berlin-based software specialists Model Engineering Solutions GmbH (MES). Along with MES Quality Tools and MES Academy, it constitutes the competence center for quality assurance of model-based software. MES Test Center offers services for quality assurance of safety-critical software in embedded systems, especially in the automotive industry. These cover all steps of requirements management, such as setting up test specifications, automated test evaluations, and quality monitoring, with a particular focus on testing large software models. Dr. Hartmut Lackner has taken over as head of MES Test Center on April 1, 2016.

Dr. Hartmut Lackner is manager of MES Test Center since April 1, 2016. His motto: “Life is too short for manual testing”, indicates his commitment to automated testing. After studying computer science at the Humboldt University in Berlin, he worked at Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (Fraunhofer FOKUS) as staff member and manager of industrial research projects involving model-based test methods from 2009. Until 2016, during his PhD, he specialized in model-based testing of multi-variant systems. As head of MES Test Center, he drives the development of testing complex software models.
MES Test Center: experts of testing large, multi-variant software models
Testing multi-variant software models is a major challenge of software testing, reflected in the agony of selecting the right configuration when purchasing a vehicle – from infotainment to steering, every detail requires careful decisions. In the same way, each variant on offer must be adequately tested to ensure that there are no functional errors between various components. For this purpose, MES Test Center now provides new methods of sample selection and test automation. In addition, OEMs and suppliers benefit by further advantages of working with MES Test Center, such as clearly defined interfaces to experienced test managers, external reviews of system requirements, and continuous quality monitoring. Customers can also rely on the experience and expertise of ISTQB-certified testers who test all relevant safety-critical systems efficiently.
