Reducing testing costs – automatically: imbus provides support in implementing an model-based test procedure
Moehrendorf, 23 May 2016 – IT systems are usually complex. Graphic models help to control this complexity, however – this also applies to software testing. The so-called model-based testing (MBT) automatizes the designs of test procedures. imbus consults companies on if and where in the respective test procedure the approach can generate benefits.
(firmenpresse) - Irrespective of whether one wants to use existing models as test base or to create the test scenarios in a desired design and generate different test cases based on different coverage targets: The complexity can be handled masterfully by means of model-based testing.
The approach is especially suitable for test subjects with a sufficient number of process and data variants.
Less expenditure needs to be put in the preparation and management of the test cases in the medium and long term. The quality can be increased and it is possible to reduce costs due to early defect identification. In addition to that, there is an increase of the test coverage and the transparency due to test visualization. The result is a comprehensive and standardized test development. Non-obvious test cases can be prepared, too.
