Annual outdoor art exhibit honours the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in Canada

The annual outdoor art exhibit beloved by residents and tourists alike in Canada''s Capital Region is open in time for the Victoria Day long weekend.
This year, to mark the 100th anniversary of women''s suffrage in Canada, the annual public exhibit Art in the Courtyards-located in the Clarendon and York courtyards in downtown Ottawa-presents "Visionary and Daring - Canadian Women Artists / Visionnaires et audacieuses - Femmes artistes canadiennes."
The exhibit features the work of 16 outstanding Canadian women artists. Although the women are different ages, come from different regions of Canada and lived in different eras, they have all shared Canada''s art with the world through their bold and creative works. Each one has pushed the envelope of what it means to be a woman artist in Canada.
