Doug French Appointed as Chief Financial Officer, TELUS
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/16/16 -- Effective today, TELUS (TSX: T)(NYSE: TU) is pleased to announce that Doug French has been appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. With 30 years of financial management experience and 20 years of career progression within TELUS, including key roles as Controller for the company''s largest business units in the business and consumer divisions, and more recently serving as Corporate Controller, his appointment is the result of the corporation''s robust succession planning process.

After three and a half years as TELUS CFO, John Gossling is leaving TELUS to seek other opportunities. Mr. Gossling will be working with Mr. French through to the end of May to ensure an effective transition of responsibilities.
