(firmenpresse) - STURGIS, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 05/13/16 -- Sturgis Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: STBI) today announced the resignation of John R. Dresser from its board of directors and the board of directors of its wholly owned subsidiary, Sturgis Bank & Trust Company. On May 1, 2016, Mr. Dresser announced his departure from the law firm Dresser, Dresser, Haas and Caywood P.C. As a result of his departure, Mr. Dresser was deemed to have resigned from the boards of directors of the Company and Sturgis Bank & Trust as required by the Company''s Bylaws. "The board of directors has regretfully accepted John''s resignation," stated Eric Eishen, Chief Executive Officer of Sturgis Bancorp, Inc. He added "John has been a member of the board of directors since 2007 and has been active in many service organizations in the Sturgis community.
