Marlborough Mall Hosts Bridal Pop-Up Shop for Budget-Conscious Brides
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/05/16 -- On Saturday, May 28 Marlborough Mall is hosting a Pop-Up Bridal Boutique aimed at helping the budget-conscious bride. The average wedding can cost upwards of $30,000; given the recent economic downturn and increased layoffs, many couples are feeling the financial burden.
In partnership with the Women in Need Society (WINS), this event will offer brides-to-be the opportunity to purchase brand new wedding dresses for $100 to $250 per dress. These donated dresses, which typically retail for thousands of dollars, will be on display.
"We understand the financial pressures that many couples face as they plan their dream wedding," said Kim Wiltse, Marketing & Specialty Leasing Director, Marlborough Mall. "This process should be a memorable experience, and we want to help brides find their special dress without having to worry about the price tag."
All sales from the event will support WINS, a Calgary-based organization that supports local women and their families by providing them with access to basic necessities, skills, knowledge and resources to be able to secure a vibrant future.
The Pop-Up Bridal Boutique will be held at Marlborough Mall on Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the first 50 brides receiving a treat bag supplied by Marlborough Mall retailers. The private shopping event will offer brides-to-be the opportunity to browse through more than 100 wedding dresses while being able to access special offers from various Marlborough Mall retailers.
