The spo-book ELIX H81 is the latest digital signage player from spo-comm
(PresseBox) - The newly developed edition of this successful series has the same external dimensions, while the interior has received a first-class upgrade: high-performance desktop CPUs and integrated graphics allow content to be displayed in 4K resolution.
Compact as Usual
The spo-book ELIX H81 is the sixth generation of the series, which has been in production since 2011. The sturdy metal housing and long-term availability are also standard in this series. With a size of 200x35x153mm, this industrial PC has the same dimensions as its predecessor, so upgrading to this model causes no problems. Thanks to the flat, compact construction and a volume of just one litre, the spo-book ELIX H81 fits into any environment and can be installed easily into the smallest space. It withstands temperatures from 0 to 50°C and is suitable for 24/7 operation.
4K Resolution
To adjust performance to individual requirements, the spo-book ELIX H81''s CPU can be freely chosen at purchase. The choices are all powerful 4th-generation Intel dual-core processors (Haswell) up to i5 and they can be equipped with up to 16 gigabytes of memory. The integrated graphics card allows you to play content in 4K - meaning that high-definition video can be played without lag. Thanks to SmartFan technology, the embedded PC always remains within the optimum temperature range while running as quietly as possible.
Connectivity for Graphics and Audio
The fourth generation of industrial PCs come with the usual range of connections. Six USB ports, two of which matching the current 3.0 standard, allow connection to external peripherals or storage media. Monitors are connected via the two display ports or the DVI-I connector. In addition to the three audio ports, the spo-book ELIX H81 also has an S/PDIF port for the transmission of digital audio signals. Likewise, a COM port is available. Network connections can be made via the two gigabit LAN interfaces or optionally via the wireless module or a mobile network.
Compatible and Individual
To ensure that the industrial PC works seamlessly with existing configurations, spo-comm is offering various operating systems. In addition to Windows 7 and Windows 10, the spo-book ELIX H81 is also available with Windows Embedded, which can be tailored individually and flexibly to any application. A pre-installed Linux distribution is also possible. In addition to the software and processors, the amount of memory can be freely chosen, as can the type and capacity of hard disk. If you buy a Solid State Disk instead of a HDD, you don''t only minimise the noise level, but also increase the speed and reliability of your embedded PC.
With the spo-book ELIX H81, spo-comm has brought to market a powerful and flexible PC, one of particular interest for digital signage, KIOSK and POI (point of information). The Industrial PC is available immediately and can be ordered in the desired configuration from spo-comm.de.
