ID: 1429436

(firmenpresse) - MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 04/20/16 -- For the past 32 years, Gary Nader has committed himself to the cultural growth of Miami by promoting Latin American art and artists. Miami is quickly evolving into a cultural mecca with millions of visitors traveling to indulge in our culture and learn about our history. It is Mr. Nader''s firm belief that Miami has the potential to become a global city on par with Berlin, London, Paris, and New York, where cultural amenities are a destination to both locals and tourists.

Nader''s vision is to create a world renowned Latin American Cultural Center, which will promote fine art, music, film, dance, theater, literature, fashion, architecture and the culinary arts. In an effort to make this vision a reality, Nader submitted an unsolicited public-private partnership proposal to Miami Dade College to build a 400,000 square-foot cultural center at the 520 Biscayne Blvd property next to the historic Freedom Tower. The cultural center, which is valued at an estimated $140 million, will include a 196,000 square-foot fine art museum, a 3,000-person state-of-the-art conference center, a 1,600-seat performing arts theatre, and a sculpture garden all owned and controlled by Miami Dade College at no cost.

In addition to the cultural center, Mr. Nader''s proposal includes contributions to the college with a present day value of $120 million. Among these contributions is a comprehensive Latin American Art collection valued at $60 million consisting of 1,000+ works from over 250 important artists and a $60 million cash contribution to MDC as well.

This essential collection of art is the core of Mr. Nader vision. Nader''s group carefully calculated design integrates the university, while also respecting the Freedom Tower. The Nader group tremendously values the substantial historical significance that the Freedom Tower provides to Miami and has clearly outlined this throughout the proposal.
