24-page colour catalogue features artwork by the acclaimed Anishinaabe visual artist. At the core of the exhibition, which includes 26 works created between 1998 and 2015, sit four new works exhibited for the first time, within a figurative narrative, each depicting a different shaman and that shaman''s power: healing touch, taking away pain, passing down traditions, dreaming the not dreamable.

Robert Houle is a member of Sandy Bay First Nation, Manitoba who lives and works in Toronto. As a child, Robert was taken from his family and placed in the Sandy Bay Indian Residential School. He received a B.A. in Art History from the University of Manitoba, and a B.A. in Art Education from McGill University and studied painting and drawing at the International Summer Academy of Fine arts in Salzburg, Austria. Robert taught Indigenous studies at the Ontario College of Art and Design University for fifteen years. It''s been twenty years since Houle''s last private showing in Toronto.
Robert Houle is represented by Galerie Orenda in Paris; Galerie Nicolas Robert in Montreal; and Kinsman Robinson Galleries in Toronto.
