KazMunaiGas Trading Latest To Adopt SaaS In The Cloud CTRM From Aspect
The trading arm of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company, KazMunaiGas Trading AG (KMGT), is the latest organization to adopt the AspectCTRM trade and risk management solution from Aspect.
(firmenpresse) - The trading arm of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company, KazMunaiGas Trading AG (KMGT), is the latest organization to adopt the AspectCTRM trade and risk management solution from Aspect.
The state-owned firm has deployed AspectCTRM for its international trading desk in Lugano, Switzerland. Including the migration from their old trading system, integration with the SAP accounting system, and two weeks of users training, the system was live and managing trades within 3.5 months of contract signing.
Already a user of the AspectDSC market data and analytics portal, KMGT has upgraded to AspectCTRM Standard Edition (SE) for on-paper and physical trades of oil and oil products as well as the trading of swaps. Key to KMGT were the strengths of the system together with Aspect’s ability to deliver training and support in multiple languages.
“We wanted to consolidate our entire trading operation on a single system from day one and AspectCTRM’s trade capture, trading exposure and risk management abilities made it ideal,” said KMGT’s head of Risk Management Laurentiu Pana. “Couple that with rapid non-disruptive implementation, ease of maintenance, flexibility in use, expandability and portability between platforms made it the natural choice for us.”
The KMGT deal is the latest in a fast-growing order book for Aspect’s market data and analytics, and trade and risk management solutions for the oil and gas, bunkering, metals, softs and allied markets. The company’s CEO Steve Hughes believes the growth in sales is in part due to Aspect’s transparency.
