PHOENIX, AZ €“ Justin Erickson and Wes Hansen, a couple of valley''s top BBQ restauranteurs opened Pork on a Fork BBQ, a brilliant quick serve restaurant featuring competition style BBQ cuisine, at 1515 West Deer Valley Rd. in Phoenix, AZ back in 2010. Now they are opening their 2nd location near 20th St. and Camelback Rd. Pork on a Fork BBQ has earned international respect by being named Top 10 BBQ Joint in the Nation by USAToday Travel and also The Official Best of BBQ which was featured on The Discovery Channel just to name a few.
They offer online-ordering for guests to bypass the long line and offer catering valley wide. They have catered some of the biggest events, which included ESPN''s Fan Fest for the Super Bowl, the 2015 Cactus Bowl, Scottsdale Culinary Festival and many more. "Our quick service BBQ restaurants are a notch above the rest. We take real pride that everything is homemade and we use the highest quality ingredients and stay true to our slogan Real. BBQ. Fast," says Justin Erickson, who learned all his BBQ skills from his Dad back in Nebraska.
The new restaurant''s design features handmade booths and table tops. Dark reclaimed barn-wood covers the entry and the porcelain tile that completes the wood look. This mid-size location has open dining room with booths, regular and bar stool seating, that seats up to 100 people. Guests will be able to enjoy local beers and TV''s on most walls.
The Camelback Colonnade location''s Grand Opening will be celebrated April 9th and will feature free samples, celebrity guest appearances and local radio station feeds. "We are just a couple farm boys from Nebraska trying to spread great BBQ throughout the valley and plan on having 10 of these in the Phoenix Metro," say Wes Hansen, who is very excited about this location.
