The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, issued the following statement today on Prince Edward Island Premier Wade MacLauchlan''s announcement regarding reproductive services:
"A women''s right to choose is a fundamental right in our country.
"I welcome the leadership demonstrated by Premier MacLauchlan, who today announced that the PEI provincial government will move forward with access to reproductive services on the island.
"The Government of Canada reaffirms its belief that a woman should have access to reproductive health services, no matter where they live in our country."
