Fredericksburg Orthopaedist Opens Patient-Centered Practice
To Combat Impersonal, Production-Based Treatment, Dr. Jan-Eric Esway Launches a New Practice Location Dedicated to One-on-One Patient Care and Minimal Wait Times
(firmenpresse) - FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/30/16 -- To provide an improved patient experience, an , Dr. Jan-Eric Esway, recently . He says the office features a streamlined look and feel to give individuals more focused treatment, shorter wait times, and enhanced care. Dr. Esway explains that the reason for the move was to prioritize the doctor-patient relationship and to disrupt the assembly line style environment common to other orthopaedic facilities.
As the only fellowship-trained orthopaedic foot and in the Fredericksburg area, Dr. Esway says he feels a duty to provide individuals with exceptional care. He fears that patients who are rushed through visits could receive incomplete or inaccurate diagnoses and subpar treatment. "Many of today''s surgical practices are production-based; meaning that the number of patients is more important than the amount of time spent with patients." To counter this move towards the impersonal, he says the new location will offer:
Convenient online access to patient resources
Fast appointments
Decreased wait times
Individualized treatment plans
Dr. Esway emphasizes that the new location will have all the same procedures and treatment options as his previous practice. However, he notes that patients with diabetes-related complex wounds will be referred to another physician with access to a wound center to ensure the best possible care.
Everyone deserves to receive exceptional medical treatment, Dr. Esway states, and he hopes the new practice will usher in a field-wide trend towards a patient-centered approach. "The patient experience is extremely important to me. My smaller practice will have less administrative barriers and provide patients with a more personalized experience."
