Fish & Richardson Awarded "Milestone Case of the Year" at Managing Intellectual Property''s North America Awards 2016
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/23/16 -- today announced that it has received the "Milestone Case of the Year" award from Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) for the firm''s work on behalf of clients Microsoft, Adobe, and Citrix in Williamson v. Citrix Online LLC et al. (Fed. Cir. June 16, 2015). Fish was recognized for prevailing on the Federal Circuit, sitting en banc, to overrule longstanding precedent regarding the construction and application of functional claim language. The decision opens up new avenues for defending against allegations of infringement on both infringement and validity grounds.
