(PresseBox) - At the wire & tube 2016 - the leading trade fair for wire and cable industry - iiM AG will be presenting new products of the brand VisioCablePro®.
A trade fair highlight for iiM AG is the next generation of the proven cable measuring device VCPX5. The version VCPX5-16, which has been in series production since the start of 2016, is more than just a facelift and offers some noteworthy technological further developments. For instance, improved optical systems, especially for medium and large measuring fields (M, L), lead to higher resolutions and thus, to reduced measurement uncertainties. The new, compactly integrated light/light control system from the company''s own lighting department for the brand LUMIMAX® provides ?intelligent? light, which offers an optimum, homogeneous light source both for every device and also for every optical system. What?s more, the VCPX5-16 can now be supplied on request as an XL version with a measuring field of up to 200 x 200 mm.
Besides the further development of the VCPX5, the software VCPEasy 2.0 was created as the continuation of its very easy and secure operating concept. This is not a functional reduction of the proven measuring and evaluation software FMC-3, but rather a simplification by focussing on the core tasks of production-related measuring. In addition, the operation is significantly better coordinated to the use of the touchscreen on the VCPX5.
Higher-level CAQ systems (Aesa CIQ, ProCable 3, Advaris) can also be connected via VCPEasy. With complete drafting of the test plans in the CAQ systems, geometric information is also provided so that the performance of the measurement is reduced to a start button and two switches to transfer the values or discard the measurement.
VCPEasy is also suitable as a central program to record a wide range of measurement values. Additional measuring devices such as resistance bridges or tensile testers can be connected, which automatically provide measurement values. Alternatively, measuring results can be entered into VCPEasy 2.0 manually.
Besides both of these new developments, the trade fair visitors will also gain an insight into a new technology that even now is providing very promising results for the inline testing of many cable types.
