Allen Edmonds and Soles4Souls(R) Partner to Wear Out Poverty One Sole at a Time
Companies Will Provide Shoes for Impoverished Populations in Over 127 Countries
(firmenpresse) - PORT WASHINGTON, WI -- (Marketwired) -- 03/10/16 -- Allen Edmonds Corporation, the U.S. premium men''s shoe manufacturer headquartered in Port Washington, Wis., announced today that it will partner with Soles4Souls® Inc., a not-for-profit, global, social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes for the seventh consecutive year. The two organizations will team up in a national shoe drive from March 10 through March 31.

From March 10 through March 31, consumers will be able to donate new or slightly worn men''s, women''s, or kids'' shoes at any Allen Edmonds retail or outlet store location. As a thank you for donating, customers will receive $40 off any pair of regular priced Goodyear Welted shoes. No purchase is necessary to donate shoes for the initiative.
Since Soles4Soul''s beginning, they have distributed more than 26 million pairs of shoes throughout 127 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Soles4Souls -- which holds the highest rating from nonprofit watchdog Guide Star -- will convert every used pair of shoes collected by Allen Edmonds into a value-added social currency to achieve positive change, both humanitarian and economic. The resulting revenue will help fund the free distribution of new shoes both in the U.S. and overseas. To date, Allen Edmonds, with the help of its loyal customers, has donated over 30,000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls'' mission.
