The smart variant for testing systems with many variants: New feature of TestBench version 2.4.2 provides an overview
Moehrendorf, 17 February 2016 – In the field of software testing it’s just like in real life: Sometimes you want to make a decision, sometime you don’t. With the new TestBench version 2.4.2 test cases can be examined by the common basic functionality of all variants of a product line or by variant-specific functionalities. In this way, the TestBench supports the test of software products which exist in different variations.
(firmenpresse) - With the corresponding marker, the TestBench selects reliably and at the touch of a button the right test cases for the particular product variant. Thereby, the test data necessary for the test procedure can be varied variant-specifically. Thus for each variant, specific test data sets can be defined, which, depending on the variant, can be inserted automatically during derivation of the tests. The test steps can be adapted to the specific variant, too.
In addition to that, the variant test of the TestBench is most appropriate for the mapping and management of internationalization and localization testing. The language specifics – e.g. specific characters or designations – will be clearly managed as variant-specific test data sets.
