Mason Graphite Announces Further Changes to the Board of Directors
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 02/16/16 -- Mason Graphite Inc. ("Mason Graphite" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: LLG) (OTCQX: MGPHF) announces that, further to the recent appointment of Mr. Guy Chamard as an independent director of the Company and nominee of Ressources Quebec, the Company has accepted the resignation of Mr. Tayfun Eldem as Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Eldem was recently appointed Managing Director of Iron Ore for Hatch Ltd., where he is now responsible for global business development overseeing operations in six regions of the world and working with key clients including BHP Billiton, Vale, Rio Tinto, ArcelorMittal and Anglo American. These new high profile responsibilities will require his undivided attention.
The management team of Mason Graphite and the Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Eldem for his contributions to the Company and wish him the best in his future endeavour.
Mr. Tyrone Docherty, the current Vice-Chairman of the board of directors of Mason Graphite, has been appointed Chairman of the Board, a position he held until the appointment of Mr. Eldem in February 2013. Mr. Docherty has over 25 years of experience in the resource industry and was previously CEO of Quinto Mining Corporation. Mr. Docherty is a business executive and an active board member of a number of public and private companies.
