(firmenpresse) - ILFORD, one of the oldest photographic brands in the market today, is delighted that Manuel Thomé has joined the ILFORD Masters, an elite group of world renowned photographers. Manuel, a well-known fashion and portrait photographer, is a member of the Master Photographers Association, the largest association of professional photographers in the UK and listed at the exclusive portal www.whitewedding.de.
The ILFORD Masters comprises of eighteen world-renowned photographers, from different genres, that are passionate about photography as well as printing and choose to use ILFORD GALERIE to display their prints.
In 2015 Manuel won the prestigious Beauty & Fashion Award as well as the Overseas Commercial and Creative Photographer of the Award from the Master Photographers Association.
Manuel is extremely passionate about his photography and the look and feel of the final display print is very important to him, as this is how the world will see and visualise his work.
Manuel explains: “My favourite photo paper is ILFORD GALERIE Fine Art Smooth. It is perfect for my black and white images as well as producing that award winning print. I have also recently used GALERIE Gold Fibre Silk for the last photo prints that I submitted as this is also one of my favourite papers”.

About Manuel Thomé
Manuel Thomé was born in 1977. Manuel’s passion for photography began in the cradle and both his grandfather and father made cameras and photography part of Manuel’s life since his early childhood. After completing his training at the age of 15, Manuel was then certain that he wanted to be a photographer. He then successfully completed his formal photographic training and went on to assist many photographers around the world. It was during this time that he gained extensive experience of portrait and wedding photography.
Formula for Success: Professionalism and Passion
Located at the edge of Cologne, Manuel has been working for local and international clients such as Audi, Nestle and the Art Hotel Cologne for over ten years. Since 2007 he has been a member of the largest association of photographers in the UK and during this time has won a variety of different awards. In 2007, Manuel was awarded the Overseas Fashion Photographer of the Year and the exclusive wedding portal www.whitewedding.de has listed Manuel since 2014.
Leica Adventure Days
For the ILFORD team it was an honour to participate in the Leica Adventure Days with Manuel Thomé. In co-operation with their partner Hedler Systemlicht and using the Leica-S system, Manuel produced an impressive range of portraits that were printed on ILFORD GALERIE Gold Fibre Gloss and handed out to the visitors that attended the event (http://www.manuelthome.de/leica-erlebnistage-2015).
