Austin Pain Associates Opens Its Second State-of-the-Art Infusion Center in Cedar Park
Treatments Provide Pain Relief for Patients Not Responding to Other Modalities
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 01/25/16 -- Austin Pain Associates (APA), a leader in pain management in central Texas, is pleased to announce the opening of its second state-of-the-art Infusion Center of Texas in Cedar Park. Infusion therapy refers to delivering medication directly into the veins. Also known as intravenous or IV administration, it is a viable option for patients who suffer from chronic pain that has not responded to oral medication or other traditional modalities.
Infusion therapy has shown to be an effective treatment for a wide variety of pain syndromes, including: diabetic peripheral neuropathy, centralized pain (post-stroke pain), headaches, myofascial pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome, chronic pelvic pain, cancer pain, depression associated with pain and peripheral nerve injury.
"There is a strong demand for this type of pain treatment and we''re excited to provide it to patients in our Westlake and Cedar Park locations," said Dr. Robert Wills, president and founder of APA. "We have performed more than 4,000 infusions at the Westlake office since opening in mid-2014 and opening a second location will allow us to treat a larger volume of patients, not only in Austin but in central Texas and beyond."
Treatment times range from one to four hours and some conditions require multiple infusion sessions spread out over a few weeks. Most patients listen to music, watch movies, relax or surf the Web on iPads provided by Austin Pain Associates while undergoing their infusion. Relief from pain lasts anywhere from six months to one year.
The Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony at the Infusion Center, which is located at 351 Cypress Creek, Suite 200, at 11:00 am on January 26 and the public is encouraged to attend. For more information visit: .
