Megadyne''s was an award winner in the medical category of this competition, which is hosted and moderated by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
Founded in 1950, the annual Awards recognize products for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world, and bestow international recognition upon designers and manufacturers for advancing new and innovative product concepts and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered standard product and consumer design. Megadyne''s winning entry, the Zip Pen, features patented functions for ergonomics, product performance and aesthetics, while effortlessly removing surgical smoke in a highly ergonomic manner unlike any other surgical smoke removal pencil.
