The GET INTEGRATED! project will attempt to educate customers and prospects on the benefits and approaches to integrating with other criminal justice agencies.

€œThe same case and person data is entered multiple times in the criminal justice pipeline" stated William Alvis, CEO of LegalEdge Software. €œSo, counties are paying multiple people to enter the same data; from Police Systems through Jails, Courts, the Prosecutors and the Public Defenders and even down to Probation and Parole. With multiple people entering the same data, the risk of errors goes up and the cost of entry goes up. This makes budgets go up and often it causes needless continuances which slow down the whole criminal justice system" Alvis went on to say.

€œThere are lots of ways to share data. Whether you have archaic systems or support the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), the opportunity exists to interface that system with agencies upstream to get case and people information and updates to that data electronically."

As part of the GET INTEGRATED project, LegalEdge Software is providing free design consultation on how best to integrate with other systems. LegalEdge has a full suite of tools for integration, as well as standard interfaces to various police, jail and court systems for Prosecutors and Public Defenders already. The company also offers its Programmer''s Toolkit, with full source code, so customers can do their own customization and integration themselves, saving precious budget dollars.
