Text Santa - ATI’s storage tanks meet the festive fundraising challenge
Staff and even a storage tank at ATI Tank Hire Ltd are doing their bit in a Christmas knit for Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day. The 3-metre-wide tank will be wearing a specially designed festive jumper to help raise money for charity.
(firmenpresse) - They''re more often seen in overalls but staff at Great Yarmouth firm [ATI Tank Hire Ltd](http://www.atitankhire.co.uk/) are planning to do their bit in a Christmas knit for Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day. By donning their favourite festive tops on Friday 18 December, they''ll be raising money for three charities that help families in difficulty at Christmas: Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children.
Accounts Manager Diana Brooks said: €œWe usually wear silly Santa hats and decorate the office but, if all the staff wear their Christmas jumpers for the day, we can raise a bit of cash for a good cause too!"
And it''s not just the staff who are getting into the spirit of [Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day](http://www.atitankhire.co.uk/contact/media-room/). Mrs Brooks added: €œWe''re planning to get one of our tanks to wear a jumper as well. It''s 8 cubic metres and more than 3 metres long so it will be a bit of a challenge. But we''re confident that it will be the best dressed of all of us on the day. We''re pretty sure it will be the only storage tank to be taking part in Text Santa!"
When designer Darren Weaver was asked to help ATI put a jumper on the tank, he was naturally a little confused. But he says, €œOnce they explained the Text Santa idea, I jumped at the chance. It is a challenging shape to apply to a tank but we rose to the occasion."
From its Great Yarmouth base, ATI Tank Hire has been supplying storage tanks and silos across the UK and Europe since 1983. It also has a depot in Laurencekirk, Aberdeen. Its tanks have been used on the Jubilee Line Extension, the Olympic Park and the Shard, and in places including the North Sea, Norway, Denmark and Kazakhstan.
