Tuesday, December 15th, 2 Sessions: 4PM - 5:30PM & 6PM - 7:30PM
Sponsored by Dynalite, this . Participants will learn about the fundamentals of photographic lighting in a studio environment through a mixture of lectures and demonstrations.
Participants will be shown how the four basic lighting techniques can be used to create effective portraiture. Plus, they''ll be introduced to various light shaping tools and equipment to strengthen their skills as portrait photographers.
This workshop is recommended for a wide variety of participants, ranging from amateurs with a working knowledge of camera functions to advanced enthusiasts who''d like a better understanding of studio lighting techniques.
Wednesday, December 16th, 6PM - 8PM
The will be moderated by SheKnowsMedia Photo Director and photojournalist Tiffany Hagler-Geard. Award-winning photojournalists Nancy Borowick, Brigitte Stelzer, and Jennifer Altman will participate in the discussion.
Although men dominated the history of photography, women are playing an increasingly important role in contemporary photography. Attendees will learn more about the powerful images and stories being shared by these accomplished photojournalists. All participants can join in the discussion on what it''s like to be a cutting-edge female photojournalist paving the way for future generations.

Thursday, December 17th, 3 Sessions: 12PM - 1:30PM, 2PM - 3:30PM, & 4PM - 5:30PM
Join Daniel Norton, seasoned photographer and Senior Lighting Consultant and Trainer at Adorama Pro, . Adorama will be providing two models/actors and some lenses, while Broncolor will be providing both Flash and HMI constant lighting. Participants are advised to bring their cameras, memory cards, and an enthusiasm for taking great pictures.
Daniel will set up a new lighting scenario at the start of each session, and attendees are free to shoot and use the images for their own portfolios and non-commercial work.
Friday, December 18th, 12PM - 1PM
Adorama will host a live recording of the weekly podcast "We''re Getting Better" with host Bryon Summers, the resident photographer of the hip-hop podcast "The Combat Jack Show."
"We''re Getting Better" focuses on photographic situations, experiences, and lessons to help aspiring photographers improve their craft.

In anticipation of the season of giving, Al Espinosa -- an award-winning photographer and graphic designer -- . Photographers always need an endless variety of accessories, and nothing can be more frustrating than picking the wrong ones.
Attendees don''t need to bring their camera gear but should definitely arm themselves with a notepad and pen. Al Espinosa (also known as Brooklyn Born) will be answering questions at the end of the seminar.
Each of the two sessions will last 90 minutes.
