Bullfrog Power Partners With Local Communities on Grand Opening of Nova Scotia''s Ellershouse Wind Farm
(firmenpresse) - HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/04/15 -- Today, Bullfrog Power®, developer Minas Energy and the Alternative Resource Energy Authority (AREA) - a partnership between the Towns of Antigonish, Berwick and Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia - are announcing the grand opening of the Ellershouse Wind Farm. Located in West Hants, near Ellershouse, Nova Scotia, the four-turbine wind farm is the first wind development in Nova Scotia to be funded and built independently of the local power authority or any provincial government incentive program.

The Ellershouse Wind Farm is the latest green energy project supported by Bullfrog Power. During our 10 year history, Bullfrog Power has been able to offer all Canadians a green energy choice. The four-turbine Ellershouse Wind Farm consists of Enercon E-92 wind turbines that have a total capacity of 9.2 megawatts - enough to power 2,800 Nova Scotian homes(1). The AREA communities - and Bullfrog Power - will be sourcing the green power produced by the facilities for their municipalities and for Bullfrog Power''s Maritime customers, respectively. The project will be owned and operated by AREA-Nova Scotia''s first independent energy utility.
